Attersee is not only the perfect place to relax with both feet on the ground!
The mountain ranges of Attersee and Salzkammergut are ideal for hang-gliding and paragliding.
Prepare the sails, sort the ropes, fasten your safety belt and away you go! It takes no more than 5 minutes and a well-trained pilot is up the sky. The 20-30 square meter and 5-7 kg elliptical sailing area is steered by two control devices. Despite its easy handling the paraglide is an efficient aircraft where it is possible to enjoy long and distant flights. The flight course record is an amazing 426 km. The flight school ‘Salzkammergut’ for hang-gliding and paragliding in Weyregg-Alexenau, directly next to the hotel ‘Bramosen’, will take you to the sky. There is a wide range of training possibilities: ‘come and try it’ days, basic course in theory and practise with flight diploma, and higher classes for the more advanced.
