The 4.5 m long aquarium with 9000 l of fresh Attersee water provides a fantastic opportunity for young and old to experience the underwater world of lake Attersee.
Many fish typical for lake Attersee like pike, perch, bleak, lake trout, bream, roach, and rudd cavort in the near-natural seascape, which is supplied non-stop with freshwater from the lake through a pipeline system.
Get to know all about the way of life of the local species of fish and the long-lasting fishing tradition of lake Attersee!
Surf through the Aquarium
In the Internet-Pavilion there is a terminal where you can watch optionally available short-films concerning interesting topics from all around the lake.
Furthermore there is a terminal providing free Internet access where you can gather information about the ecology and the formation of lake Attersee, about sport fishing and commercial fishing, and about all the different species of local fish.
